Anabell has been with the Rachlin team since the beginning of 2018. She’s worked on various modernizations for the Fountain Valley School District, and is currently involved in the development of a new classroom building for the Downey School District. Prior to joining the firm, Anabell worked on different phases of design and development for projects in a range of sectors including healthcare, hospitality and commercial and residential buildings
Education
Anabell attended California Polytechnic University-Pomona and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture. She was the only student ever to win the Designers Lighting Forum’s Lighting Design Competition two years in a row for her fixture designs. She was awarded the Lesley Wheel Scholarship for 1st place in 2014, and once again in 2015 for 3rd place. Prior to her attendance to the School of Architecture, Anabell was a prominent student at Mount San Antonio College, where she earned an A.A. in Natural Sciences and Mathematics along with multiple awards, including the college’s Scholar Award, the Varayok Scholarship Award and earning her school 1st place in one of the divisions at the 2009 Parliamentary Debate Championship.
Personal
Originally born in Peru, Anabell has been interested in Music, Art and Astronomy since childhood. She likes to admire the night sky to identify constellations and track the moon and planets, sometimes through her telescope. She also enjoys analyzing music by deconstructing melodies and rhythms of all kinds, and likes to exercise her vocals in her spare time.
