Since joining the Rachlin Team in 2016, Josh has played an instrumental role as a designer and 3-dimensional visualization specialist for many of the firm’s new school construction, renovation, and master planning projects for the firm’s K-12 school district clients.

Prior to joining Rachlin Partners, Josh worked for Chicago-based J Stanulis Architects. He worked closely with the principal architect from conceptual design through project completion on a variety of projects including multi-million-dollar custom homes, commercial offices, restaurants, and luxury salon/spas.

Education

Josh received his Bachelor of Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2016, where he was actively involved with the American Institute of Architecture Students organization. He also spent a semester abroad in Brisbane, Australia, where he studied urban design and embraced Australian culture.

Personal

Josh’s move to Los Angeles from Chicago was more seamless than some might imagine. After packing his things into a U-Haul trailer mere weeks after graduation, he made his way to Southern California over the course of 3 days – and has not looked back. Following the big move, Josh has fully embraced everything about Southern California. But he remains steadfastly loyal to his beloved Chicago Cubs and Chicago Blackhawks.

Josh will do anything to stay active, whether it’s surfing, taking a bicycle trip to Santa Monica Beach, longboarding down the Venice Boardwalk, or hiking in Malibu. Nothing involving the beautiful outdoors and Southern California sunshine is unappealing to him.
